Megan Fox Clarifies Intentions Behind New Poetry Book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous

Megan Fox recently discussed her new poetry book, "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous," during an event at Racket NYC, emphasizing that she did not intend to "cancel" any of the unnamed Hollywood men referenced in her revelations about past toxic relationships. The actress, 37, expressed that she views these individuals as "irrelevant" and wanted the focus to be on her experiences.

During the discussion with moderator Samantha Leach, Fox shared her frustration over the scrutiny she faces, stating, "For once, it should be about me." She clarified that her intention was not to bring harm to anyone or contribute to cancel culture, emphasizing, "I'm not trying to get anyone canceled, I'm not karma."

The star of "Jennifer’s Body" reflected on the process of writing her book, acknowledging the challenge of revisiting old wounds from past relationships. Fox admitted that she had to tone down some of her more "savage" poems, as even she was taken aback by the extent of her experiences.

Anticipating potential backlash, Fox expressed confidence, asserting that she cannot control how others react to her art. She concluded, "You're never gonna cancel me because I'm not a bad person." The release of "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous" marks a vulnerable and honest exploration of Fox's past, emphasizing her personal growth and resilience.
