Apple has stayed silent about the potential collaboration between Sam Altman, Jony Ive, and Tang Tan regarding artificial intelligence.
Reports suggest that Tang Tan, a senior official at Apple overseeing product design, will be teaming up with OpenAI's Sam Altman and tech designer Jony Ive to work on innovative artificial intelligence-focused devices. Tan, previously in charge of creating Apple's iconic products like the iPhone and Apple Watch, will be joining Ive’s LoveFrom design studio in February.
Tan is anticipated to play a key role in shaping the appearance and features of these new products, while Altman is expected to provide the software that powers them. However, the exact extent of OpenAI's involvement in the project remains unclear.
While details about the AI-focused devices are scarce and the project is said to be in its early stages, Ive, known for his collaborations with Steve Jobs on iconic Apple designs, is said to be assembling a team and brainstorming initial concepts for these AI devices.
