In response to the controversial claims made in Omid Scobie’s book, 'Endgame,' King Charles and Prince William recently convened to deliberate on their course of action regarding allegations surrounding the royal family.
Reportedly, the two royals engaged in discussions concerning the assertions made in the book, particularly regarding supposed remarks attributed to Charles and Princess Kate concerning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Prince Archie, before his birth.
While initially contemplating various options, including legal recourse, the consensus reached by King Charles and Prince William was to refrain from pursuing legal action against the claims unveiled in the Dutch edition of Scobie’s book.
A confidant close to the monarchy emphasized the royal family’s commitment to their guiding principle of ‘Don’t explain or complain,’ affirming, “There will be no formal response or legal action taken. It’s a matter that will be quietly put to rest. The book’s been retracted, and there’s little interest in it anymore.”
Asserting the decision’s finality, they added, “The episode has concluded. It's of no consequence anymore; the book’s been withdrawn. The focus remains on fulfilling their duties.”
Echoing this sentiment, an associate of William and Kate reiterated the stance, underscoring the royals’ consistent approach to unwarranted claims. “Daily, there’s an influx of baseless stories, and the response remains unchanged: silence. Their dedication to their roles speaks volumes louder than any rebuttal or reaction to such claims.”
