Helen and Olly, who play each other's love interests on the BBC drama series, were seen getting cozy at the after-party for Helen's latest stage performance of The King and I musical in London.
Eyewitnesses spilled the beans, saying the duo were caught off guard, sitting side by side at the party. Olly had his arms around Helen's waist, and they seemed to be enjoying each other's company.
This comes after the 39-year-old actress decided to go separate ways from her partner Jack Ashton, 40, who also starred on the BBC show, and they have two kids together. On the other hand, Olly recently ended his seven-year relationship with his makeup artist girlfriend.
Reports say they spent the whole evening together, sharing hugs and kisses. An insider exclusively told The Sun, "Helen made a beeline for Olly as she arrived at the afterparty. The pair spent all evening together with Olly putting his hand on her back as she chatted to her fellow cast members."
Apparently, Olly was quite protective of Helen, and they preferred sitting close together. The source added, "He was clearly very protective of Helen as he put his hand around the back of her chair. Helen wanted to stay out with her girls so Olly hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he left."
Exciting news for fans of the show, but also a bit bittersweet as the pair is set to say goodbye to Call The Midwife after the 2023 season finale.
