Megan Fox has opened up about her past miscarriage in her new poetry book, "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous," which was published on Tuesday. The 37-year-old actress shared her emotions and experiences in the book, including the ultrasound of her unborn daughter with her fiancé, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, whom she carried to 10 weeks and a day.
In one poem, Fox writes, "I will pay any price. Tell me please, what is the ransom for her soul?" The actress, who has three children with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green, delves into the profound impact of the miscarriage in her poetic expressions.
In an interview with Good Morning America released on the same day, Fox spoke about the challenging experience, stating, "I had never been through anything like that before in my life; I have three kids. So, it was very difficult for both of us, and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately." She further discussed the struggle of navigating the meaning and reasons behind such a tragic event.
Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, announced their engagement in January 2022.
In addition to addressing the miscarriage, Fox's poetry book and interview also shed light on her past experiences in physically and emotionally abusive relationships with "horrific" and "very famous" individuals. The actress announced "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous" in August, describing it as inspired by her experience of carrying the "secrets" and "sins" of men.
