He and Jennifer, who starred in Friends, were married for two years, from 2015 to 2017, after being together for over six years. Even though they split up, they're still friends.
People are always curious about Jennifer's relationships. She has been married twice, with her first husband being Brad Pitt from Fight Club, whom she married in 2000.
Jennifer, from Marley & Me, said she'd "love" to be in another relationship after her breakup with Theroux but clarified that she doesn't plan on getting married again.
She mentioned, "Never say never, but I don't have any interest. I'd love a relationship. Who knows? There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, 'I need support.'"
She added, "It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody's arms and say, 'That was a tough day.'"
Theroux chatted with Esquire magazine this month about why he doesn't talk about Aniston.
"After being in a public relationship, I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we're in. I talk to Jen, but I don't talk about Jen," he explained.
"People will always want to gossip and say things, but you have to find that balance. It's much more fun not being in a public relationship," he added.
"Even if I said something loving, it would just turn into a thing. So, it's a classic no-comment situation for me."
Although they don't talk every day, the friendly exes have commented on each other in the past and were recently seen having dinner at Il Cantinori, a fancy Italian restaurant in New York City, with Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka.
In 2021, Theroux told Esquire that despite not talking every day, they have remained pals.
"We've remained friends. We don't talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text. We didn't have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I cherish our friendship," Theroux shared.
